As Faria has her hands full with a new baby, the Piano Orff
Experience classes are not currently being offered. Check this page for updates
about future availability.
The Piano Orff Experience is a fun and innovative curriculum for children ages 4 to 6. They're the same traditional Orff classes you've heard of...with a twist!
The Piano Orff Experience classes were created when Faria combined her Orff teacher training with her first love: teaching piano. You can learn more about Carl Orff and his world-renown pedagogy for teaching music to children here.
The Piano Orff Experience helps children explore musical ideas like pitch, dynamics, tempo and rhythm. These classes give children a solid foundation in music by engaging their minds and imaginations in a playful, participatory way. They also provide an excellent preparation for formal music lessons in the future, or just a great way to develop your child's life-long love of music.
Using instruments like the recorder, glockenspiels, xylophones, metallaphones, and of course the piano, we aim to compose and perform, creating musical experiences which will foster a true love of music. Classes can be taken privately, or sign up with one or two friends. No experience is necessary. And the best part—no homework!
The cost is determined by the class size.
