Faria is an experienced music educator with an
Advanced Certificate in Early Childhood Music Education (ECME) from the
Royal Conservatory of Music.
She is also an accredited
Orff Specialist and trained in
Kodaly (Level II). Faria has shared her love of music with children
throughout Toronto, teaching music classes at the
Sunnyside Daycare
as well as private piano lessons. In the past, she's also taught music at the
Linden School,
the Young Children's Creative Music and Movement Classes Inc. (YCCMMC), and
Walters Music. Faria is
also a recipient of the Donna Wood scholarship and the Gunild Keetman
scholarship, both for the study of music education.
Marcia is an experienced music educator and soprano soloist. She holds a music
degree in vocal performance and an opera diploma from
Wilfrid Laurier University. In addition to her
Sugar Beat training, Marcia has taken Music in Early Childhood at the
Royal Conservatory of Music
and has completed her Level 2
Orff
pedagogy.
Marcia is an Orff Itinerant Music Instructor for the Toronto
District School Board. She also teaches private voice and piano lessons at
Lippert Music Centre, and has
taught music
classes at
Sunnyside Daycare, and
for Sugar Beat at our past St.Clair/Bathurst location.
